About school library

 

school library (or a school library media center) is a library within a school where students, staff, and often, parents of a public or private school have access to a variety of resources. The goal of the school library media center is to ensure that all members of the school community have equitable access "to books and reading, to information, and to information technology."

·         LIBRARY RULES

·         i.            Complete silence is to be observed inside the Library.

·         ii.           Drinks and eatables are not allowed in the Library.

·         iii.          Smoking is strictly prohibited.

·         iv.          Keep your mobile phone off within the Library premises.

·         v.           Interfering with designated use of Computers and networks is not allowed.

·         vi.          Damage and misuse of Library materials and equipment is not allowed.

·         vii.         Threatening and abusive language or behaviour is prohibited.

·         viii.         Bags and Documents must be shown for inspection if requested by the Library staff.

·         ix.           Pasting notices and distributing circulars are not allowed inside the Library.

·         x.            Photography, filming and video recording is prohibited inside the Library except prior approval of the University Librarian.

·         LIBRARY HOURS

·         Monday to Saturday 9.00 am - 12.00 pm

·         Holidays Closed

·         ·        The library shall normally functions for twelve hours a day or more during the academic session.

·         ·        Library hours are subject to change from time to time and all changes in timings are duly notified on the notice boards of different libraries.

·         ·        The library is open round the year except on Republic Day, Holi, Independence Day and Gandhi Jayanti.
